I enjoyed reading your article. I already have 3 comfort toilets in my home and LOVE them. My husband can no longer get in or out of the bathtub without a lot of assistance. I will be calling you in the New Year to take out the tub and replace with a walk-in shower.

Very interesting. Are you saying people in the UK use the word lavatory for toilet? Or are they using the word as a polite way to refer to the room were the toilet is?

I guess we are all funny when it comes to the words we choose to use. We use the term bathroom a lot, whether the room has a bath or not. In homes, a room with a toilet and sink is referred to as the Powder Room.

Dunny is the word in Australia.

Here in the UK bog and lavatory are the most used terms (after loo and toilet).
